Are you interested in developing your leadership skills? Are you curious about your community and what the leaders are doing for the people who live here? If you are a junior or senior going to school in Alameda County you are invited to apply for the Alameda County Youth Leadership Academy. If you are chosen,you will take a free 5 session course about the County programs and services. You will find out about how the leaders provides services like health care, social services and public protection. You will also learn leadership skills and more about how to be a leader yourself.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday September 23, 2009 so hurry on up and complete your application now! Interested? Check out the YLA webpage on the Alameda County website at www.acgov.org/youthleadership You can also call the County at 510-268-5379 if you have any questions about how to fill out the application.
