So if you are a senior – what advice would you give your freshman self? And if you are a freshman what kind of advice would be useful from you senior self?
Time travel is always a little difficult for me to get my head around – and one where you talk to your younger self – well it makes my brain hurt. however, in gimmie a call it is handled very well. Devi is suffering from a devastating break up and realizes that her entire high school life has been centered around her ex-boyfriend. She wishes that she could go back in time to give her 14-year-old self some better advice. The her cell phone drops into a fountain at the mall – and her phone now calls only one number – her own , but from 3 years ago.
As Devi talks to her younger self and trys to change her future by changing the past..the story is sometimes funny, sometimes heart-breaking, and always interesting. If you have ever thought “if I had done this , I wonder how things would be different ” , try this book .
