Writing that Lit paper

Sometime in you high school career you are going to have to write a paper on a book, play,poem, or short story. There are ways to make it easier . Using sources that tell you a little bit about the author , talk about the themes and the criticism are helpful. We have on-line sources such as Literature resource center and LitFinder , which can be found on the library webpage. You just need your library card number to access these from home. We also have some great sources in the reference department ( for those of you that aren’t aware of this section – this is where we keep the books that don’t leave the library) . There are three title that might help you: Drama for students, Poetry for students and Short Stories for Students. All of theses multi volume sets pick popular, often assigned works and have 20 pages or more of information on author,plot, characters, style and criticism. Explore the 800 section in reference the next time you have a paper for English.
