Bastille Day? Ok, it is a holiday in France with parades and fire works, etc.,also know as French National Day. So , if you don’t know much about it, I wouldn’t be surprised. It isn’t the most useful term to use in our catalog, either. French Revolution gets you many more options (maybe too many?). But skipping the non-fiction, there have been a lot of good fiction books written about the french revolution .
I haven’t read it , but The Red Necklace by Sally Gardner has got enthusiastic praise both on line and, well, from people I know ( aka librarians). Revolution By Jennifer Donnelly Is another book on my list. A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens is a classic, of course. The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy is another. City of Darkness, City of Light by Marge Piercy is a big long sprawling saga that is one of my favorites.
