Hacking Timbuktu

I picked up Hacking Timbuktu by Stephen Davis because it looked like a  ride. I kept reading because it was.Ancient treasure , hacking and something that was new to me, parkour. ( I’d call it urban survival street running but you can see more here and here).

The  Story:  Long  ago a lot of  gold  was stolen by a  very  clever thief, who left a  clue that no one had been able to follow.  Move forward to now :  and  a map/clue is found when ancient manuscripts are being scanned for  preservation .  Danny Temple ,  a  white  hat hacker ,  gets a  copy  of  the clue. Unfortunately,  a  lot of people want  the treasure,  and they figure out  that he has the map. Find  the treasure  first seems the best way to stay safe – and who can  resist  the call of  a stack of  gold bars?
